Game 29: New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles

The day has finally arrived.

Alex Rodriguez will man third base and bat cleanup tonight as the Yankees look to break their five-game skid against the Baltimore Orioles.

The Yankees come into tonight's matchup losers of the past five games, and 3-9 in their past 12 games. Their woes came at home, where the team is 6-7 on the young season.

Rodriguez looks to bolster a lineup that has struggled to produce. His presence should especially help struggling first baseman Mark Teixeira, whose batting .190 after signing an eight year, $180 million dollar contract in the offseason.

CC Sabathia will take the hill for the Yankees tonight. The ace of their staff is 1-3 with a 4.85 ERA on the season, but his last two starts have been promising. Sabathia is 5-1 with a 3.01 ERA lifetime against the Orioles. His first start of the season came against the O's, when he pitched six innings and gave up three runs in a 10-5 loss.

Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie will oppose Sabathia. On the season, he's 2-2 with a 5.05 ERA. Guthrie has struggled as of late, going 0-2 with a 6.46 ERA in his last four starts.

Guthrie pitched the season opener against the Yankees, allowing four runs in eight innings to earn the win.

Baltimore is looking to extend their winning streak to three. The last time these two teams met, Baltimore took two of three games and combined for 17 runs.

Lineup for tonight:
Jeter SS
Damon LF
Teixeira 1B
Rodriguez 3B
Matsui DH
Swisher RF
Cano 2B
Cabrera CF
Cervelli C

And, on the mound, CC Sabathia

Game time is 7:05 p.m., and you can catch the game on YES. Here's to hoping the Yankees can somehow break this nasty losing streak tonight.
