Wang To Start For AAA Yanks Tuesday

According to John Sterling, Chein-Ming Wang will start Tuesday night for the Yankees Triple A affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. If he does well, he could potentially replace Phil Hughes in the starting rotation. If he doesn't do well, we could see him making a few more starts.

Also, I'd like to apologize for not having game recaps the past few days. Unfortunately, I've been at work during the games this weekend. As a result, I just don't want to spit out the play-by-play to you guys. I can tell you, however, that Johnny Damon won the Yankees the game this weekend with a three-run home run. He's been hot lately (13 for 31) with four doubles and five homers. He's been the catalyst for a rather anemic Yankee offense. Many of the games over the past few days wouldn't have been interesting without his timely hits. Clearly he's been doing his job, now the other guys need to follow his lead.

The Yankees will have an off day tomorrow before heading up to Toronto for a three-game set with the Blue Jays. Starting pitchers will be A.J. Burnett vs. Roy Halladay. I'll have a preview of the first game of the series on Tuesday.
