Yankees Roster Moves

Once again, I couldn't get to a computer before the game. The Yankees made several moves before the game. Here's a list of the moves:

1. The Yankees assigned Jose Molina to the 15-day disabled list.

2. Kevin Cash promoted to New York.

3. Mark Melancon optioned to Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

4. Steven Jackson designated for assignment to Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (to make room for Cash)

I wouldn't be surprised to see another move or two during the weekend. As discussed before, the Yankees depth is tight right now, and I'm surprised they haven't called up one of their big hitters from AAA - Juan Miranda, Shelley Duncan or Todd Linden. John Rodriguez could fit into this category as well.

Some minor league moves:

1. PJ Pillittere promoted from Double A Trenton to Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

2. Wilkin De La Rosa promoted from Tampa to Double A Trenton.
